The next laptop is expected to be released by the end of October, according to the most recent supply chain rumors. Similar to the new iPad mini, Apple may surprise the public with the updated MacBook Pro or have an event in October to reveal the news.

If Apple is preparing for an October launch, then it makes logical to place additional orders with suppliers of Mac components.
The timeframe aligns with Apple's plans to introduce new models, as the company debuted the most recent MacBook Pro at the Scary Fast event in October of last year.
The supply chain speculations suggest that the specifications on the leaked MacBook Pro box may be true and lend the box a little more legitimacy.
