The top Android phones that come out next year are anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite, the company's next-generation smartphone processor. We won't have to wait that long, though, as the Asus ROG Phone 9 series is anticipated to launch in November of next year.

The only information we have regarding the next Asus ROG Phone 9 series, aside from the official invitation that Asus gave out, is that its official debut date is November 19, 2024, and it will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Platform. These phones are anticipated to reach previously unheard-of speeds thanks to the new chipset, possibly ranking among the quickest phones ever made.

To provide the essential gaming performance for which these phones are renowned, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform also has an upgraded Adreno GPU and a second-generation Oryon CPU. According to Asus, its next phones will provide a lag-free, immersive gaming experience that is unmatched by other devices on the market.

We are optimistic that the Snapdragon 8 Elite's 3nm manufacturing process should let it to surpass the top competitors, including the A18 Pro-powered iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, given how the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro performed quite well in a number of benchmark tests we conducted last year. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite's initial benchmark results appear encouraging. It averaged 3,221 and 10,426 single and multicore scores on Geekbench 6 on a reference device.

Beyond just brute force, we're interested to see how the ROG Phone 9 performs in terms of battery life. This is because the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, which is now ranked first on our list of the best phones with the longest battery life (18 hours and 48 minutes), is still more than an hour faster than the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The ROG Phone 9 series should definitely have an advantage over the competition because Qualcomm is known for producing some of the most power-efficient chips.

The initial set of pictures reveals that Asus's unique design language once again targets mobile gamers, but we expect learn more about the ROG Phone 9 series during the company's event next month.
